SCN Archive

Hi,

I think like most SCN/SDN users everyone is really disappointed about previous blogs and discussion have been moved to archive. I understand that there was probably a number of out dated content, but there is a HUGE number of discussions that is still very very relevant. I don't understand why at least the general search does not search through the archives as well for a topic? Also, the bookmarks that I built over years of important things that I will need in future is gone as with everybody. The power of SCN and SDN was in the content... I rarely needed to ask a question because I could find almost everything. Now.. it will be really difficult to find.. and everyone will be spending a lot of time additional time re-asking questions or researching something again that you already had the answer to. I am really disappointed.

If the general search could at least search by default through the archives that would help immensely?

Hi Deon,

I share your frustration and hope that people will be able to find the solutions presently hard to find in the roughly 2.7 million SCN Discussions moved to the Archive.

Try this custom Google search,https://cse.google.com/cse/home?cx=013447253335410278659:5di2969x5we,

which should work fairly well. I do want to let you know that the web crawlers are still building the content indices necessary for search to work. It is quite possible that no matter which search you use, it will take a few more days, possibly as long as a week more for that task to be complete and you be able to find all the content with the already generated solutions.
