I think this one needs to be asked as a Question rather than a issue with the profile. Please open a question with the primary tag of UI Development Toolkit for HTML5 (the SAPUI5 primary tag) and please post the same link you showed above. Need this to get the right visibility. UserEcho is really for the feedbaclk for the Profile in the new SCN. For SAPUI5, it needs to be a Question with the right primary tag.
I am a Moderator for SAPUI5, but I will reach out to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from the Product team who can respond with more authority.

After reviewing the link you posted, it will make a good SCN question, but will very definitely require someone in the product management team to get involved. The search function for what you suggest needs to be built into the SAPUI5 site, not into SCN. Which we can try to facilitate.

Hello Mike, something that I think would be great to add is to be able to find by "method" in the search box of api reference. (https://sapui5.hana.ondemand.com/sdk/#docs/api/symbols/sap.ui.html)
basically, I would like a better system for search, with more features to make the API docs experience richer.
