Hi Barin,
Archived discussions are Readonly. My suggestion is the create a new Question to build on a Discussion in the Archive. Put in a link to the Discussion and a brief explanation that you are building upon information already in the thread along with any critical points of interest. That keeps the past info tied to the current and future information in a single location.
