country flag stays US on start page, not depending on country of profile

The country flag on the beta home page (and other pages) is US. Although my profile shows I'm form the Netherlands

This is an irritation, but it is apparently "under review"

Yet, I think that it should have been linked to the user's profile from the "get-go".
