I will admit to wondering a bit myself about the process by which some of the design decisions were obtained. However, I am past the point where I worry about how we arrived here and moved on to how do we deal with it.

UserEcho (where we are presently) is a 3rd party tool implemented to gather feedback with respect to Profiles and only Profiles. However many folks are using it to vent generally about deficiencies in the new environment. Requests for changes should be logged in Idea Place, https://ideas.sap.com/ct/ct_list.bix?c=3F1503D6-1AE6-409A-A17A-8360D3F46A40, But please review the existing ideas and vote for the ones you think are most important. It does not help if we have the same idea posted three different times with votes being split. Generally the people making choices on what to implement will aggregate the votes together, but often the ideas are presented differently or together with other suggestions. Best if you just find one which applies and vote on it.
Thanks, Mike
That's an odd one for sure. I have not heard from anyone else having a similar problem. As far as the link in the name, I have already requested that they unhide the link for the name. It makes no sense at all for that to be hidden. You can also click on the icon for navigation which I had not realized until someone pointed it out to me. Like digging for treasure, only it should not require digging. It's a new environment and we are still learning the workarounds for some of these issues. Right now it is mostly communicating and requesting fixes. Lots and lots of communications!

Go to people.sap.com. It should (if logged in) take you to your profile and you will be able to upload a new profile avatar.

Once logged in, go to answers.sap.com and your Karma points should be visible. Your points from old SCN did not transfer, but if you want to see your old badges, points, and level, click on your icon and when the menu opens up, click on the icon on the menu. A new webpage will open. At the bottom left, there is a subsection called Reputation. Under it is a link named Legacy Badges. Click on Legacy Badges and you should see the points, badges and level you had in old SCN.

Hi Mutyam,
You need to post this as a Question in the new SCN. This site is only for feedback on the new Profile even though it has been used for general feedback as well. Please go to answers.sap.com and create a new question. It would appear that your question is related to SAPUI5 so use the primary tag "UI Development Toolkit for HTML5" as we do not have aliases in place yet. Hoping to get that fixed shortly.

Hi Melissa,
I think this one needs to be asked as a Question rather than a issue with the profile. Please open a question with the primary tag of UI Development Toolkit for HTML5 (the SAPUI5 primary tag) and please post the same link you showed above. Need this to get the right visibility. UserEcho is really for the feedbaclk for the Profile in the new SCN. For SAPUI5, it needs to be a Question with the right primary tag.
I am a Moderator for SAPUI5, but I will reach out to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from the Product team who can respond with more authority.
If you will post the url for the question here, I will be able to follow through with the right people. After reviewing the link you posted, it will make a good SCN question, but will very definitely require someone in the product management team to get involved. The search function for what you suggest needs to be built into the SAPUI5 site, not into SCN. Which we can try to facilitate.

Yes, that would be useful. Not sure how important it is compared to a number of other issues still open.
Hi Timmy,
All the old SCN/SDN discussions and some of the Jive Documents (older and not maintained content usually) were moved to the archive, something like 2.4 million Discussions and 10,000 or so Documents. Some Discussions, which were both old and never responded to, were deleted but the majority of them are in the Archive. The Archive, https://archive.sap.com/, can be searched using the onedx.find.sap.com. Indexing is still ongoing for approximately another week. If you do not find your content using the system search tool, you can also try one of the custom Google searches.

You may also want to search based on tags. https://go.sap.com/community/about/using-tags.html has a downloadable spreadsheet with a link to a Tag page. This, https://go.sap.com/community/tag.html?id=01200615320800000721, is the Tag page for the mostly likely tag, SAP Identity Management. There is not an IDM alias set up for that tag just yet, but we are working on it.
Remember when creating new Blogs or Questions, you will need to search on "Identity" or just type out the whole Primary Tag. The Tag Page only has Blogs and Questions/Answers/Comments since the new SCN was implemented on October 10th.
Good luck in your searching. If you need more help please reply again to this post. I monitor all of the posts here and try to answer where possible.
And if you feel the need to vent more to a sympathetic audience, check out the Coffee Corner.

Not sure I understand the issue. I checked your account and it looks like it is working properly.
If you are trying to respond to Discussions in the Archive, those are all now Readonly and no one can reply. Please check answers.sap.com to see new questions which have been raised since the transition from old SCN to new.
